- Provides informational guided tours of Shasta Dam and facility operations.- Conducts tours for all ages from pre-school children to college level, and special interest groups such as service organizations, senior citizens, and foreign visitors, as well as the general public. Personally escorts tours through dam, powerplant and designated visitor areas.- Provides detailed and specific information and explanations pertaining to the historical background, physical features of the dam, progress made, and benefits derived from the dam such as downstream flood control, power production etc. Conveys information using audio-visual aids, printed materials and graphic displays.- Ensures safety of visitors and deals with emergencies that may arise.- Provides a variety of informational or public relations tasks. Assists with special projects such as parade floats and outreach to schools. Applicants must have one year of specialized experience or additional education as defined below.GS-05:
One year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to at least the GS-04 level in Federal service; OR, successful completion of a full 4 year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree with a major field of study directly related to the position such as American history, science, public speaking, education; or included at least 24 semester hours in such courses; OR a combination of successfully completed education and experience. Only education in excess of the first 60 semester hours leading to a bachelor's degree is creditable toward meeting the specialized experience requirement at the GS-5 level.Definition of Specialized

GS-05:
Experience giving oral presentations of historical, scientific, or natural resources program information to groups. Such experience may include educational instructor, park guide, recreational guide, or similar experience delivering structured presentations. Work experience revising and/or developing technical, historical, or scientific information designed for oral presentation to groups at a historical site, visitor center, park, museum, educational classroom or similar setting. These examples are not all inclusive.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
