Summary:
This team member ensures that overnight duties of the Hotel are completed, including maintaining and issuing guest billing ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The essential duties and responsibilities outlined here are representative of those that must be met by the team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this position, however, are not all inclusive:

Runs the nightly Audit reports 2.
Handles incoming guest reservations via phone 3.
Takes reservations accurately and neatly 4.
Greets, registers, and assigns rooms to guests 5.
Handles credit card, initial parking information, and an overview of guest services 6.
Serves as a primary liaison to guests; handles stressful situations; makes mature and knowledgeable decisions; and handles all guest complaints or problems 7.
Serves as Hotel phone operator and directs all calls to the proper extensions.
Receives, transmits, telephone messages 8.
Answers inquiries pertaining to hotel services; registration of guests' shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions 9.
Handles all guest service requests 10.
Keeps records of room availability and guests' accounts.
Operates ONQ system (the Front Office software).
Maintains the guest history 11.
Uses 10-key adding machine and switchboard 12.
Computes bill, collects payment, and makes change for guests 13.
Posts charges such as room, food, liquor, or telephone to guest accounts 14.
Balances daily or shift audit on the billing computer, and maintains issued bank 15.
Assists guests with depositing their valuables in safe deposit boxes 16.
Cleans and organizes & stocks the front desk area 17.
Other duties as assigned by the Front Office/Guest Services Supervisor, Assistant General Manager, and/or General Manager EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS The education requirements outlined here are representative of the minimum that must be met by the team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this position; however, higher levels of education than required will be reflected during the recruitment process:
