The Student Services Director ensures the delivery of excellent customer service, in multiple forms, throughout the student body on campus and within the community at large.
DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Set up and coordinate Mod Program Orientation, including scrub fittings, I.
D.
photos, and MS Tablet tutorial.
Exam Proctor for EPA and NCCT Certification Exams Provide basic guidance for students in IDL programs with a focus on log-in's, connectivity issues, accessing Canvas (student interface for IDL content).
Basic Academic Tutoring by appointment.
Manages the LRC budget to ensure resources within the Learning Resource Center are relevant, up to date, and accessible to students.
Provide group and individual instruction on the use of Jones E-Global Library and Atrium online library services.
Responsible to monitor an efficient system to circulate materials within the LRC.
Provide guidance and training for FWS Students assigned to the LRC.
Make students aware of campus and community resources for academic support, child care, rent/utilities, and any other resources that may assist students while in school.
Prepare and distribute campus awards, including Perfect Attendance, Dean's List, and Student Professionalism awards.
Maintain thorough knowledge of IOT Student Handbook in order to properly advise students regarding campus & program policies.
Refer Vocational Nursing students to appropriate resources within the VN Department and externally to community resources.
Work in partnership with Instructors to identify at-risk students and provide support to help them continue in their program.
Organize and conduct student events to promote a positive culture throughout the campus.
This includes recruiting staff volunteers to assist.
Organize Annual Campus Graduation, including venue selection, communication with graduates, decorations, student awards, student speakers, and staff volunteers to assist.
Work in cooperation with the VN Department to assist with the Nursing Pinning Ceremony at the end of each semester.
Circulate through each classroom weekly to deliver weekly announcements.
Act as advisor for student-run campus clubs.
Assist students with documentation such as verification of enrollment, Unemployment, Academic Transcripts and Change of Status forms in cooperation with the Registrar.
Coordinate Student Satisfaction Surveys.
Record Meeting Notes for Program Advisory Council Meetings (Program(s) TBD).
Provide Occasional coverage for Professional Development Labs.

Bachelor's Degree preferred, but not required.
Current Driver's License without restrictions.
Prior counseling / advising experience preferred, but not required.
Three-years full-time experience focused on the Duties and Responsibilities of this job.
WORKING CONDITIONS Full-Time, Non-Exempt.
Overtime eligible under current CA EDD regulations.
Typical Work-Week Schedule, including days worked, occasionally flexed to accommodate events & evening programs.
