As a Scribe/Ophthalmic Technician you will provide accurate documentation and summarization of the retinal examination and recommendations, while maintaining patient flow and communication regarding appointment status.
This position requires travel to satellite offices.

Responsibilities:
Personally assist physician by entering patient visit documentation in EMR and assist in other areas of the practice depending on the demands of business.
List all proper diagnoses and symptoms as well as follow-up instructions and prescriptions as dictated by the physician Document procedures performed by the physician Serve as liaison between the physician, patient and staff Provide unparalleled customer service to our patients Adhere to established protocols and work processes Successfully manage volume without compromising quality Enter timely, as dictated by physician, accurate and detailed documentation of the encounter Knowledge of medical, medication and ophthalmic terminology Completion of pre-operative paperwork
Qualifications:
High school diploma.
Prefer at least one year experience as a scribe in the medical field, Ophthalmology preferred.
Fluent in English, bilingual preferred.
Two years experience in a medical office preferred.
Excellent spelling ability, including medical terminology.
Ability to document and apply correct ICD-10 and CPT Codes.
Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrates respect for patients and staff.
Excellent verbal and written communication, demonstrates respect for patients and staff.
Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with strong attention to detail.
Legible handwriting and computer literacy, effectively able to navigate NextGen software.
