The 267-bed hospital offers major medical services including a Level II Trauma Center as well as specialized Cardiovascular Care Stroke Care Orthopedics Neurological Surgery Comprehensive Cancer Care Maternity Care and da Vinci Robotic Surgery.
It is the sole provider of obstetrical services along with the only Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in Shasta County.
In addition the hospital's network of care includes Mercy Home Health and Hospice and Dignity Health Connected Living.
Mercy Medical Center Redding is a member of the Dignity Health system and is a sister facility to St.
Elizabeth Community Hospital in Red Bluff and Mercy Medical Center Mt.

Responsibilities Position
Summary:
The incumbent is responsible for assisting the surgical team by acting as the primary scrub person who handles the instruments supplies and equipment during surgical procedures.
The incumbent maintains constant vigilance for the maintenance of the sterile field.
In addition the incumbent will serve as the scrub for OB/GYN cases in the department.
Qualifications Minimum
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required One (1) year of recent experience as an operating room scrub technician in an acute care facility required General understanding of anatomy and physiology sterilization and surgical techniques required Current BLS required (must be certified through the American Heart Association) Preferred
Qualifications:
Recent experience as a scrub technician and nursing assistant or unit secretary preferred Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology preferred Advanced organizational skills preferred Pay Range $36.
60 - $40.
50 /hour.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
